Purpose: to learn how to work with a laser cutting machine

            With this course a new or yet inexperienced operator will be initiated  in the
            (im-)possibilities of a laser

            Following concepts will be discussed:

     1. basic principles of a laser
     2. laser structure: generating power, resonator
     3. beam directing, to focus
     4. effects on metals: absorption, plasma etc.
     5. mechanical/electrical
     6. gasses
     7. beam quality, parameters
     8. reliability and productivity
     9. cutting

Target group: new operator or beginner
            Our advice is to have 2 or 3 operators follow this course, when buying the first laser

Conditions: some knowledge of CNC controls and Windows

Duration: 3 days

Maximum number of participants: 3-4

The gained knowledge has to be put into practice. After this the participants will be tested on their gained knowledge. If this course has been finished successfully, the participants will receive the certificate “Basic Operator Laser”.

1. training room, possibly with beamer
2. all manuals
