Unique in Europe: “OEM’s do have such centers, however, there is no center where all metal cutting techniques are being shown.”

Posmac is able to organize and exploit this demo center, as they have, in combination with Weber Laserservice, knowledge of all four cutting techniques. Posmac itself represents the Czech company PTV Waterjet as well as the Japanese brand Koike (plasma, oxy-fuel and laser) in the Benelux. Weber is responsible for the service and maintenance concerning cutting machines of these and other brands, including Bystronic and Adige.

Together, the two companies have had a beautiful premises built in Heteren. It is situated along the A50 near Arnhem, and thus easily reachable for everyone. With constructing they have clearly chosen for appearance. On the outside, with the black tinted glass, the building looks austere, and on the inside it’s no different. In the high-ceiling lobby there are several elements that show what can be made by using modern cutting techniques. Like a flight of stairs with glass steps and stainless steel handrails. The largest and most striking part is a showroom of 750 square meters.

Before the end of this year six machines will be displayed here. Two PTV waterjet cutting machines (a 5-axis machine 2.5D and a 2D machine), two plasma cutters from Koike (one of which with oxy-fuel) and two flatbed lasers. "Of all the cutting disciplines, we will show a basic model and an advanced automated system," says Derksen. "This way we want to give the visitors of this demo center an impression of the total spectrum in the cutting field ."
